• The whole of the UK will switch to Digital terrestrial Television by 2012
• Analogue Television signals will cease transmitting by 2012
• Transmission of Digital signals has already started

When is the Digital Switchover happening?

• Digital Switchover is in progress now!
• In Hertfordshire and Essex analogue transmissions will be switched off during 2011
• In London this will happen in 2012
• Planning for the switchover began way back in 2001 with the founding of The Digital Television Project
